Generosity and Commitment to Walsh University’s Future

Walsh University has been blessed with generous donors who have established legacies on campus, helping students for generations to come.

William Cushwa served on the University’s Board of Directors for 12 years, and his service did not end there. He helped numerous students every year through The William W. and Anna Jean Cushwa Endowed Scholarship, which will carry on his commitment to our students in perpetuity. While Bill passed away in September 2020, his generosity and commitment to Walsh has continued through his estate plan, which included a bequest to the University.

William and Kathleen Brauchler supported several projects on campus, the most notable being Brauchler Hall, a modern and comfortable residence hall for upper classmen. They also included Walsh in their estate plan, and upon Kathleen’s passing in 2020 (Bill passed in 2005), the University learned it would be receiving a bequest to support various campus projects.

The Cushwa and Brauchler bequests not only establish legacies of generosity on the Walsh campus, but they also will benefit the University long into the future. We are most grateful to these individuals, as well as to all of those who support Walsh. Our students are the direct beneficiaries of their generosity.

The University is most grateful for all gifts, no matter the size. If you would like to learn more about how you can establish a legacy at Walsh by including us in your estate plan, please do not hesitate to contact Eric Belden at 330.490.7337 or ebelden@walsh.edu.
